Bicycle Hire

Velib Paris

Paris has conceived a new system for reducing traffic and smog in the city. It will be possible to hire a bicycle for a day, a week or even a year in 750 stations.

The bicycle fleet deploys some 10648 units which will ensure significant availability even for those who are going to the French city for tourism.

The project is called Velib (an acronym of “Velò” and “Libertè”) which can be translated as “Bike Freedom”.
